Tech and Security Shows Not to Miss
After the Mobile World Congress Americas, G+D Mobile Security will attend some of the year’s most important and interesting shows and events, stretching from the Americas to Asia to Europe.
The first was major event this fall was the Mobile World Congress Americas, MWCA18, which ran between 12 and 14 September in Los Angeles. More than 25,000 attendees from 110 countries and 1,000 exhibitors attend. More than 200 conference speakers (including T‐Mobile chief operating officer Michael Sievert and Rajeev Suri, president and CEO of Nokia) and more than 300 media analysts were discussing the key challenges and best innovations, such as the fourth industrial revolution, innovation, and media and entertainment.
SEP 18–20, 5G ASIA
Shortly after the end of MWCA18 our attention will turn to 5G Asia, which takes place at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre between 18 and 20 September. Some big hitters of the industry will be joining us at this year’s 5G Asia. As the leader in the field, G+D Mobile Security will be there discussing a cross‐section of case studies in order to demonstrate how to best secure your 5G and IoT use cases. We’ll be at booth 5G51 and we would be happy to see you there, and talk to you in person about the G+D 5G SIM cards that come equipped with a protocol that provides authenticity, integrity and auditability of data to enable trusted data exchange and data verification on a blockchain.
SEP 20–22, COMMAND Control, MUC
Hot on the heels of 5G Asia is Command Control, which takes place on 20–22 September at Munich’s International Congress Center. Command Control is a cross‐industry exchange platform for key decision makers across Europe in the fields of information technology, politics and research. A key issue that speakers will address is how cybersecurity can be a growth lever for companies and how the mass of opportunities offered by digitization can be exploited fully.
G+D Mobile Security will be present with a booth, host three workshops and has two participants taking part in panel discussions: on 20 September, Thorsten Delbrouck on “The Making of a Good CISO – Beyond Technical Excellence”; and Dr Christian Schläger on Munich´s Security Networks panel on “Digital Factory and Industrial Security”. In the workshops we will illustrate how industrial security solutions work and showcase aspects of security for mobile apps to prevent unauthorized access or even misconfiguration up to damage.
OCT 30–31, TU AUTOMOTIVE
The final event, TU‐Automotive Europe, takes place more than a month later, between 30 and 31 October, again in Munich (The Infinity Hotel & Conference Resort). Leading lights from the connected car industry will be there, such as Tanja Neubert, Head of UX Design Paris, for the Alliance Connected Vehicles for Renault‐Nissan‐Mitsubishi and Sebastian Lasek, Head of Connectivity at Skoda. They will be discussing topics around connected cars, mobility and autonomous vehicles. G+D Mobile Security’s Hao Chen, Product Line Management Director for Automotive Security, will be speaking at this event on Biometrics – Personalizing the UX – Pros and Cons. In addition, G+D will be presenting its solutions on smart access to digital cars, such as biometric authentication and digital car keys.
